Jewish life has existed in Germany for 1000 years. Together, we want to search for traces of this history in Erfurt, the center of Jewish life in the region.
On this day, we want to learn new things about this very old religion, find out more about the role of Jewish families in Erfurt society, and visit the historic Old Synagogue. The Nazi-Regime and the murder of millions of Jewish people represented a break in German-Jewish relations. But today there is once again an active Jewish community in Erfurt, and we want to learn how Jewish life is lived in Erfurt today.
